I am only a reader

I'll Walk Forever

I have been waiting for you
To join me as I walk down the streets
You are already late
But I know you always are
So I shall keep walking.

I have been walking all the way
Cause I don’t want to be late
I walked through all the shops
So I could find you something
That you would cherish.
I walked through the beach
To find a lonely spot
Where we could sit together
And enjoy the sunset

I walked through the coffee shops
To find a quiet spot
Where we could enjoy
Peace and a hot coffee
It is getting darker
And you are late
But I’m still walking
Because I know you’ll come

I have walked through the lanes
To find a quiet road
Where we can walk together
Hand – in – hand
I have walked through the parks
To find us the greenest spots
To sit and share our dreams
I have walked through book-shops
To find your favorite author
And surprise you with a book

The street-lights are getting harsher
It has become silent all around
And I’m walking still
I know you’ll come
I’ll walk through the night
Waiting for the dawn
And walk through the sunrise
I know I’ll see you then
And if I don’t…

Then I’ll walk forever
